Far better without the clicks! 73 de KeesPC1Ihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05236288871594792989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8085571700321121668.post-61230949622081388102019-11-11T10:58:27.686+01:002019-11-11T10:58:27.686+01:00Thanks for this article. I noticed this click right off when using the squelch, and wondered what was causing this, and if it was a problem. Fully checked it out and found it to be working as it should. The only nagging issue was the squelch click. It certainly sounds like a small relay. I then turned on my other 2 rack mounted R-7100's for comparison. Checked the squelch on both of these, and lo and behold, they had the clicking as well but fainter due to being rack mounted in a cabinet. This muffled it to the point where I had to make effort to listen for the click. I felt better knowing it was not the receiver I had just acquired. It's funny that I never notice that before. Glad for your posting. I had the new radio apart to change the Mem and clock batteries, and could have done the mod then. I am not pulling it apart just to do that. Thanks and 73..............SteveAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15109993048176560794noreply@blogger.com
